† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Maria Joannides

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Maria who died peacefully at home on Wednesday 18th December, at the age of 88.
She leaves behind her four children Koula, George, Joanna and Evangelia. Her son in laws Shapour, Demetris and Craig. Her seven grandchildren Peter, Mario, George, Maria, Gabriel, Luke and Peter. Her grandson Peter’s wife Julia and her three great grandsons Valentino, Rafael and Matteo.
A devoted mother and grandmother she faced a challenging life having been widowed for 50 years. She dedicated her life to her family with unwavering love and strength.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday 9th January, at 12 noon at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God (Panayia), Trinity Road, London N22 8LB, followed by the burial at New Southgate Cemetery, Brunswick Park Road, London N11 1JJ.
We invite family and friends to celebrate Maria’s life with refreshments at St Barnabas Church Hall, Rosecroft, Finsbury Road London N22 8QF.
There will be a donation box for charity.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας και γιαγιάς Μαρίας που πέθανε ειρηνικά στο σπίτι της, την Τετάρτη 18 Δεκεμβρίου, σε ηλικία 88 ετών.
Καταλείπει τα τέσσερα παιδιά της Κούλα, Γιώργο, Ιωάννα και Ευαγγελία, το γαμπρό της Shapour, Δημήτρη και Craig. Τα επτά εγγόνια της Πέτρο, Μάριο, Γιώργο, Μαρία, Γαβριήλ, Λουκά και Πέτρο. Η σύζυγος του εγγονού της Πέτρου, Ιουλία και οι τρεις δισέγγονοί της Βαλεντίνο, Ραφαέλ και Ματθέος.
Μια αφοσιωμένη μητέρα και γιαγιά αντιμετώπισε τις προκλήσεις της ζωής έχοντας μείνει χήρα για 50 χρόνια. Αφοσίωσε τη ζωή της στην οικογένεια της με ακλόνητη δύναμη.
Η κηδεία θα τελεστεί την Πέμπτη 9 Ιανουαρίου, στις 12 το μεσημέρι από τον Καθεδρικό Ναό Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου (Παναγία), Trinity Road, London N22 8LB, και θα ακολουθήσει η ταφή στο New Southgate Cemetery,
Brunswick Park Road, London N11 1JJ. Προσκαλούμε την οικογένεια και τους φίλους να γιορτάσουν τη ζωή της Μαρίας με αναψυκτικά στο χολ του ιερού ναού Αποστόλου Βαρνάβα, Rosecroft, Finsbury Road London N22 8QF.
Θα υπάρχει κουτί εισφορών για φιλανθρωπικό σκοπό την ημέρα της κηδείας.
