It’s with deep sadness and a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother following a battle with dementia and the wider health complications that it brought.
She leaves behind her husband and the love of her life, Adamos, four children Panos, Nitsa, Androulla and Michael, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Having come to London in the late 1960s, she worked hard to ensure a better life for her family, including at the Cypriot Community Centre. She was a genuine, warm-hearted and determined person, with a passion for learning which she passed on to the family, and we hope that we continue to follow her example to make her proud.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 7th April at St John the Baptist, Wightman Road at 10am. Regrettably due to current Covid restrictions the funeral will only be attended by immediate family and close friends. The burial will take place at 11.30am at New Southgate Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family have asked that donations are made to Dementia UK – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/remembering-mirofora. There will also be a donation box at the cemetery.

Με βαθιά θλίψη και βαριά καρδιά ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας συζύγου, μητέρας και γιαγιάς Μυροφόρας Αδάμου που απεβίωσε μετά από μάχη με την άνοια και τις ευρύτερες επιπλοκές που προκάλεσε στην υγεία.
Αφήνει πίσω τον σύζυγό και αγάπη της ζωής της, Αδάμο, τέσσερα παιδιά Πάνο, Νίτσα, Ανδρούλλα και Μιχάλης, επτά εγγόνια και τέσσερα δισεγγόνια. Έχοντας έρθει στο Λονδίνο στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1960, εργάστηκε πολύ σκληρά σε διάφορες δουλειές συμπεριλαμβανομένου και το Κυπριακό Κοινοτικό Κέντρο για να εξασφαλίσει μια καλύτερη ζωή για την οικογένειά της. Ήταν ένα γνήσιο, ζεστό και αποφασιστικό άτομο, με πάθος για μάθηση το οποίο πέρασε και στην οικογένεια. Ελπίζουμε να συνεχίσουμε να ακολουθούμε το παράδειγμά της για να την κάνουμε περήφανη.
Η κηδεία θα τελεσθεί την Τετάρτη 7 Απριλίου στο Άγιο Ιωάννη τον Βαπτιστή, Wightman Road στις 10πμ. Δυστυχώς, λόγω των τρεχόντων περιορισμών για την πανδημία θα παρευρεθούν μόνο η στενή οικογένεια και φίλοι. Η ταφή θα γίνει στις 11.30πμ στο κοιμητήριο του New Southgate. Αντί για λουλούδια, η οικογένεια ζήτησε να γίνουν εισφορές στο Dementia UK – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/remembering-mirofora. Θα υπάρχει επίσης κουτί δωρεών στο κοιμητήριο.
