Pezounou Sophocli

It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Mum & Grandmother who fell asleep on the 22nd May 2020, at the age of 92. She was one of eight children who moved to London in 1961 after marrying Yiannis Sophocli (deceased) from Afania. She worked as a machinist creating many beautiful garments and accessories. Mum, Yiayia…”We are truly devastated and heartbroken that you are no longer with us, but we take comfort in remembering your caring, gentle, sweet and loving nature, with your most beautiful smile and laugh. We will forever remember your homemade jam and triandafilo ice lollies. You showed your family an abundance of love and we will cherish the special memories that you have left us with. You will never be forgotten, and you will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts.” Funeral service will take place on 25th June. She leaves behind her children Elizabeth, Anthony and Sophoclis, her daughter-in-law Sophie, eight granddaughters Margarita, Joanna, Ioanna, Stephanie, Elena, Elaina, Lydia, Monica and Great Grandchildren Chloe, Charlie & Sophia with one more on the way, as well as many other family and friends.
Due to the current circumstances there are restrictions on the amount of people that will be able to attend the funeral, which makes us very sad but we know that your thoughts and love will be with us. A Memorial Service will be held when possible, when wider family and friends will be invited to join us for a celebration of mums life. Πεζουνού Σοφοκλή

Με μεγάλη θλίψη αναγγέλλουμε το θάνατο της πολυαγαπημένης μας μητέρας και γιαγιάς Πεζουνού Σοφοκλή, που απεβίωσε στις 22 Μαΐου, σε ηλικία 92 ετών. Η εκλιπούσα ήταν ένα από τα 8 παιδιά της οικογένειας της και ήρθε στο Λονδίνο το 1961 μετά από τον γάμο της με τον Γιάννη Σοφοκλή (αποβιώσαντα) από την Αφάνεια. Εργάστηκε για χρόνια μηχανικούδα και κατασκευάζοντας πολύ όμορφα ρούχα και αξεσουάρ. Μητέρα, Γιαγιά…«Eίμαστε πραγματικά λυπημένοι που δεν είσαι πλέον μαζί μας αλλά παίρνουμε δύναμη από βιώματα που μας άφησες, θυμόμαστε τις σπιτίσιες μαρμελάδες που μας έκανες και το τριαντάφυλλο παγωτό.
Δείνατε στην οικογένεια σας άφθονη αγάπη και δεν θα ξεχάσουμε ποτέ τις ιδιαίτερες αναμνήσεις που μας έχεις αφήσει. Δεν θα ξεχαστείτε ποτέ και θα είστε για πάντα στις σκέψεις και στις καρδιές μας». Αφήνει τα παιδιά της: Ελισάβετ, Αντώνη και Σοφοκλή, νύμφη: Σοφία, 8 εγγόνια: Mαργαρίτα, Ιωάννα, Ιωάννα, Στέφανη, Έλενα, Ηλάινα, Λύδια, Mόνικα και 3 δισέγγονα: Xλόη, Τσάρλη, Σoφία, συγγενείς και φίλους.
Λόγω της τρέχουσας κατάστασης υπάρχει περιορισμός στα άτομα που μπορούν αν παρευρεθούν στην κηδεία, γεγονός που μας κάνει πολύ λυπημένου, αλλά γνωρίζουμε ότι οι σκέψεις και η αγάπη σας θα είναι μαζί μας. Η οικογένεια θα οργανώσει μνημόσυνο όταν αλλάξουν οι συνθήκες, όπου όλοι συγγενείς και φίλοι θα καλεστούν να τιμήσουν την μνήμη της εκλιπούσας.
