It was announced earlier this week that WHAM!’s Last Christmas, one of the most iconic songs of all time, has gone BRIT certified 7x Platinum in the UK!
Loved by generations around the world, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s timeless Christmas classic is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To commemorate the milestone, a new Wham! EP will be released featuring George Michael’s 2006 performance of Last Christmas at London’s Wembley Arena.
The new release will be available on vinyl, CD and digital, and will feature four tracks, including the original song, a Pudding Mix, the Wembley Arena performance and an instrumental version. It’s out on 13th December.
Last Christmas was originally released in December 1984. The song has reached Number 1 in 16 countries, is officially the fourth highest-selling single of all time in the UK, and now has a massive five billion combined streams.
