Fire crews rescued a woman from a flat fire on Partridge Way in Wood Green yesterday evening.
The fire broke out in a flat on the fourth floor of the 15-storey block of flats.
Watch Manager Tom Gilson who was at the fire said:
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus broke into the flat, rescued the woman and took her down to the ground floor, where she was treated for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service. The fire was put out quickly, so the flat was only slightly damaged by the blaze.’
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Hornsey and Tottenham fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 2010 and the fire was under control at 2106.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
