Young Cypriot cutting off her locks for charity!

Greek Cypriot Lexia Petrou will be cutting 17cm off her hair in aid of the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.

The 7-year-old who attends Houghton Regis Primary School in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, will be chopping off her brunette locks on Saturday 16th May 215 at her school fete.

Lexia told Parikiaki, “I really like doing things for charity and helping others. I have chosen this charity as I have very long hair and by cutting it off and giving it away, some child will get a wig for free. It must be very sad to be bald and have no hair.”

“I want to raise as much money as possible for this charity so please, please donate, even if it’s just £1,” she added.

To date, Lexia has raised over £1,000 (check website)
