On the significant occasion of the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the Greek War of Independence, I would like to convey to Your Excellency my congratulations, together with my best wishes to the people of Greece. After what has been a difficult year, I am sure that the Bicentenary celebrations will bring the promise of better times, whilst reinforcing the warmth of relations between our two governments and peoples.
