Officers investigating the disappearance of Ambrose Ball, 30, who went missing in Haringey on Saturday, 24 January, discovered the body of a man in the River Lea, New Cut, N17 on Wednesday, 22 April.
Whilst formal identification awaits, the family of Ambrose Ball have been informed.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
