Lord Adonis Shadow Infrastructure Minister, Ex Transport Secretary and Schools Minister was there also to campaign for her.

Lord Adonis is of Cypriot origin his father is from Cyprus.

The group met at Golders Green station where they then headed for the bus stop and there Sarah Sackman pointed out that the NO 13 bus that runs from Golders Green – Swiss Cottage – Oxford Street – Piccadilly Circus and ends at Aldwych could be axed and that there are proposals to scrap the route.

Ahead of TfL’s 10 April consultation deadline, Prospective MP Sarah Sackman, Labour’s Finchley & Golders Green candidate, enlisted former Transport Secretary Lord (Andrew) Adonis.

Together they called on Mayor Boris Johnson to cancel plans to axe the No 13 bus.

Lord Adonis commented to the Parikiaki that the support for the Labour Party had grown since Ed Miliband’s successful TV debate. He also stressed that Sarah is a fantastic candidate for this key swing seat and that she is well placed to win especially with the collapse of the Liberal Democrats.

We have to also give this No 13 bus route a life line which Boris Johnson is proposing to withdraw.

One thing Michael Yiakoumi Parikiaki journalist noticed that since his last visit to Golders Green three years ago was that the area has become very run down the presence of closed shops and buildings in disrepair very visible. Far gone are Golders Green vibrant days.

He questioned the people in the street. Why? Their answer was that the Conservative run Barnet Council brought in pay by phone parking which had made it difficult for them to be able to park and that it is a very long process that you have to go through. Ultimately it does not help shoppers and as a result businesses in the area are closing down. The Labour party are proposing free 30 minutes initially and then pay.

From there on it was campaigning on the doorsteps.

So our message to the people of Golders Green and Finchley get out and vote for Sarah Sackman on May the 7th 2015 General Election day.
