CILLIAN SHERIDAN is staying in Cyprus after Omonia Nicosia rejected a €200,000 offer from Polish league leaders Jagiellonia Bialystok.
The Poles hoped to get Sheridan, 27, for a knockdown price as his Omonia contract expires at the end of the season.
But the Cypriot club are refusing to budge for the Ireland man who has nine goals to date this campaign.
Omonia are targeting a Europa League place this season and value Sheridan much higher despite the risk of losing him to Jagiellonia at the end of the season for free.
But, with the Polish transfer window not closing until the end of February, Jagiellonia could up their offer in the next month.
