The four fishermen who were abducted by the Turkish Navy last Thursday were released on Monday.
The men, two Greek and two Egyptians were fishing in international waters when a Turkish gunboat approached and ordered them aboard. The men were then taken to the occupied port of Famagusta.
The men were each made to pay a 250 Turkish Lira (€108) fine imposed by the occupied areas “court” before being released.
