Cyprus has participated with 27 companies in the International Food and Beverage Exhibition Fancy Foods Show held this week in New York.
According to the organizers, this year`s exhibition with over 2.700 exhibitors and 28.000 visitors was the largest in its history.
The Cyprus traditional cheese called halloumi, as well as other Cypriot pruducts such as pasta products, nuts, vinegar and sugar confectionery were presented at the Exhibition.
“Fewer exhibitors came from Cyprus this year due to the fact that their representatives here in the U.S. undertake their participation in the exhibition, which is good, because it shows that the products are placed on the market and there is interest from US importers and distributors to promote them in cooperation with the Cypriot companies, ” the Cyprus Trade Center Director in New York, Aristos Constantinou said.
The Vice President of the Cyprus-American Chamber of Commerce, Nicos Nicolaou, welcoming the Cypriot exhibitors said that the goal of the chamber is to provide every possible assistance to the Cypriot producers wishing to promote their products in the USA.
