Dutch team Feyenoord suspend Cypriot striker

Feyenoord have suspended Cypriot striker Colin Kazim-Richards for two weeks for threatening a journalist.
The 29-year-old was unhappy with a report in Algemeen Dagblad newspaper questioning his attitude, and confronted the reporter when he arrived at a pre-match news conference.
“I am waiting for you outside,” the striker told the journalist. “You are going down. I will put you to sleep.”
Kazim-Richards was then dropped from the squad for Sunday’s Eredivisie game with PSV.
The former Galatasaray and Olympiacos forward has now been banned from training or playing until February 1st, when the club will re-evaluate the situation.
The London-born Turkey international started his career at Bury and also played for Brighton, Sheffield United and Blackburn.
He has only scored once in 11 Eredivisie appearances this season after making his loan move from Bursaspor permanent.
Kazim-Richards attended Greenleaf Primary School in Walthamstow, where he developed an interest in football, which continued into his secondary education at Aveling Park, Walthamstow. His mother is a Turkish Cypriot and his father is of Antiguan descent.
