Education and Culture Minister Costas Kadis discussed today with Qatar Ambassador Hussein bin Ahmad Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Hmeid ways in order to increase Qatari students in Cypriot universities.
According to a press release, the Minister noted that the relations between Cyprus and Qatar are on a good path and that the two countries should continue improving these relations. During the meeting the two men focused on the perspectives to improve cooperation in academic level, emphasizing on certain measures to increase Qatari students in Cypriot universities.
Ambassador thanked the Minister for the Ministry`s initiative to suggest to the Embassy to organize an exhibition on Qatari culture in 2015, pointing out at the same time that this exhibition should be enriched with several other events which will contribute to increase awareness among the peoples of Cyprus and Qatar for each other.
