Fire crews called to collision between car and double decker bus this morning

Fire crews were called to a serious road traffic collision involving a double decker bus and a car at the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Essex Wharf in Lower Clapton, E5, during the early hours of this morning.

One man who was in the car was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. London Ambulance Service also treated around ten walking wounded who were passengers on the bus and a number of those were taken to hospital to be treated for, what are believed to be, minor injuries.
