New Salamis go into their first final of the season courtesy of Bickley FC who they beat very comfortably after trailing 1-0 after 15 minutes to Bickley FC Harrison Georgiou for the red’s in the 38th minute and Richard Georgiou gave New Salamis the lead just before the break. Another Harrison goal made it 3-1 and in added time the reds scored two more goals with Kyri Portou and Shaun to win 5-1 and now go onto play FC Cortez in the final.

LFA Junior Cup

Quarter Final

Gower All Sports 5 Panathinaikos 1

The score suggests it was a one horse race but Panthinaikos had them 1-1 at half time and hit the woodwork twice but in the second half they just fell apart. Its a new experience for them its their first year in the KOPA League and If I was them i be well satisfied with what they have achieved this year so far.

KOPA League

First Division

Olympia 8 Pantel 2

A great match to watch and eight goals to go with it. A huge relief for Olympia manager Steve Cinotti who is struggling this season and this win lifts Olympia to third from bottom.

Olympia’s goals were scored by Ricky Loucas 2, Kaphouris, Lairdi, Wright, Kanaris, Antoniades and Pantel’s by Andrew Kitipos and Jaden West.

Anorthosis 2 Apoel 3

The big surprise of the day Apoel beating league leaders Anorthosis fighting from 2-0 down and coming back to 2-1 with a goal from Michael Spencer then the Anorthosis player Andrew missing a penalty that would have made it 3-1.

But the second half Apoel were outstanding and scored a further two goals 78th minute with Michael Spencer then in the 82nd minute with a George Sifonios cross ended with Kyri Georgiou heading the ball in the back of the net to finish the game 3-2 and lifting Apoel into third place.

Anorthosis goals came from Andrew and Alfie.

Second Division

Brotherhood 4 KLN 0

Brotherhood got the better of KLN beating them 4-0 and climbing up the table their goals coming from Andre Nicolaou 2 and George Economou 2.

Komi Kebir 0 Asha 2

Asha still flying high top of the second division table, The game was very balanced in the first half but it was Komi who got the ball in the Asha net on 30 minutes only for the ref to rule it off side.

In the second half Asha came out strong and it only took 3 minutes for Asha to find the net when Volkan broke away from the left who passed it neatly to Sal who found the net with a cracking shot.

At that decisive point Asha went from strength to strength and looked to have won the midfield. In the 75th minute after a decisive error by the Komi keeper, found Antonio who coolly lopped the ball over the keeper into an empty net and that how the game finished.
