An overnight siege ended peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday after a man had barricaded himself into a house with a G3 military rifle.
Police had been attempting to search the house after arresting two men for being in possession of stolen property.
Police reinforcements were called when the incident began at 11pm on Tuesday night and ended with the surrender of the gunman at 5am Wednesday.
