Manafort and a Russian oligarch worked in Cyprus to sway another election

Newly-uncovered documents reveal that Paul Manafort‘s work for foreign governments didn’t end in Ukraine and Montenegro.

New York Times reporter Ken Vogel on Thursday uploaded a 2009 document Manafort sent Oleg Deripaska, his Russian oligarch business associate, that outlined a plan for them to work on behalf of a political party in Cyprus.

The Cypriot plan came days after TIME revealed that Manafort and Derpiska worked “to advance pro-Russian interests in Montenegro,” Vogel noted.
