Margate charity and Greek School to benefit from Tasos Poyiatzis’ fundraising

On Sunday 2nd August 2020, the Friends of the Faversham Cottage Hospital and Community Medical Centres, held a fundraising event in conjunction with the Kourellion Greek School in Margate.

A great fundraising effort was made by Tasos Poyiatzis who opened his business earlier this month; with the help of his customers and friends, and including a Tombola and the sale of plants on the day of the event, he raised an amazing grand total of £2080.82. Of this amount, £600 will be donated to the Kourellion Greek School, and the balance will be put to good use in supporting the work of Faversham’s Cottage Hospital and the Community Medical Centres, particularly in relation to purchasing much needed equipment.

The Mayor of Faversham Cllr Alison Reynolds, and her consort, were in attendance with her Deputy Cllr Trevor Martin, at the fundraising event, as well as representatives of the Greek Cypriot community in East Kent and Trustees of the Friends of Faversham Cottage Hospital and Community Medical Centres.
