Although I woke up today with a small cloud of disappointment that my beautiful BGT journey ended for me, I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and everyone both in front and behind the cameras at BGT. It was truly a fantastic experience with lots of amazing memories and I wish I could have won a spot in the finals however I feel truly blessed, and look forward to new challenges. All my love x
Soprano Aliki Chysochou from Limassol received a second standing ovation from the judges of Britain’s Got Talent following a dazzling performance at the talent show’s semi-finals. Though the talented Cypriot did not manage to secure a spot at BGT finals by public vote, the judges can still use a wildcard spot to send her to the big night.
“A few years ago Aliki was diagnosed with focal encephalitis, it’s an inflammation of the brain, which meant that she couldn’t speak, read, write, walk. Her mum did everything for her, she would feed and bathe her.”
However, Aliki amazed the panel when she performed a classical version of the well known rock tune. It was an amazing rendition and before the audition came to an end, the judges’ facial expressions revealed that they enjoyed the song immensely.
After the performance Amanda Holden said:
“I can’t imagine what your mum must be thinking, because that’s practically an anthem for her. The words bring me back to life, hear my voice. It was amazing, so congratulations.”
