KOPA League
Division One Cup Final
Livadia 1 Omonia 5
The weather brought out a good crowd at New River and they weren’t to be disappointed. It was a spectacular game. The first twenty five minutes was a testing time for both sides and numerous
chances created by either side. But it took a great individual goal from Adem Ali to break the ice he went on a run and shot from the edge of the box to open the scoring for Omonia. It was not long before Livadia equalised from a corner when Alex Kounnas shot from inside the box.
Omonia retook the lead just before the break with an individual goal from Vas Crisikos.
Second half Livadia were trying to get back into the game and made strenuous efforts to do so but their efforts to score were leaving them open at the back to counter attacks which Omonia exploited when Yianno broke through and hit the post and Adem hit the rebound straight back in. The fourth came from Yianni on a break away with the fifth being scored by Vas.
The classic is that Livadia do not have to wait long to seek revenge they are both playing each other again next Sunday in the semi final of the challenge cup
