Cyprus Meteorology Department issued orange warning as temperatures are expected to rise to 43 degrees Celsius inland on Sunday.
The warning, issued yesterday afternoon, is valid between 13:00 and 17:00 local time on Sunday.
“The maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 43 degrees Celsius inland and to around 34 degrees Celsius over the Troodos highest peaks,” the Department said in its 66th warning issued so far.
