Peter Andre has prided himself on his squeaky clean image – but all that is about to change for his latest film role!
The 45-year-old Mysterious Girl singer was pictured on the set of The Inheritance, an independent short being shot in Los Angeles, covered in tattoos and playing a heroin addict.
Pete, usually well trimmed and immaculate, also sports tousled hair, some elaborate piercings and track marks on his arms.
According to reports, he plays the role of Harry, a suicidal drug addict.
The singer-turned-actor added that he did do a lot of research into the effects of heroin to help his portrayal, and asked heroin users about their experiences to ensure an accurate portrayal.
“I couldn’t just get thrown into something like that,” he said. “I wanted to know the side- effects, what the come-down was like. I didn’t do heroin but I had to study it a lot. I asked people who had experienced it.”
Speaking of his experience of filming, Peter wrote in his regular column in New! magazine: “I had a great time filming in Los Angeles. I’ve got the acting bug. Although it can be full-on, I can honestly say shooting was an incredible experience. It was intense and very dark. I can’t wait to see the edit.
“Becoming the character took months of preparing and thankfully it paid off. I’ll be going back later in the year to film more. In fact, it looks like I’m going to be spending a lot more time in America, this year, so I’m lucky to have such a trusting wife and family.”
Peter is also set to appear in another movie called The Underdog, set to go into production later this month.
The Inheritance is listed for release in 2018.
