Detectives are appealing for help to trace a man who failed to appear for bail after he was arrested on suspicion of possessing/making indecent images of children.
He is originally from Cyprus but has links to south London having previously lived in Southwark.
Soyer – who will feature on Crimewatch tonight – was originally arrested by police in 2006 on suspicion of possessing/making indecent images of children.
Ali Hasan Soyer, 59, is wanted for questioning by officers from the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command.
He was subsequently bailed to return to a police station in November 2006, but failed to appear.
Detectives have pursued numerous lines of enquiry to try and trace Soyer over the years. Having exhausted these, they are appealing for the public’s help to locate him.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Crimewatch line on 0500 600 600 or Met detectives directly on 020 8217 6446.
