Police appeal to trace missing pensioner from Enfield

Enfield Police are appealing for assistance in tracing a missing elderly man from Edmonton who has not been seen since 0900hrs on Thursday, 15 January.

Henry Baptiste, aged 84, was last seen yesterday after he visited a relative in Edmonton by travelling on a 259 route bus. It is believed that Henry may have become confused during the journey.

Checks on his Freedom Pass show that he was at Liverpool Street Station in London this morning, 16 January, at 0900hrs. In the hours prior to this Henry has travelled throughout London including the Brent Cross shopping centre area. The last report of Henry was when he boarded a number 38 bus at 1341hrs today. It is not known in which direction he was travelling.

He is an 84-year-old light skinned black man, 5ft 2ins tall, of slight build. When last seen he was wearing a blue fleece with a Stephen James BMW emblem on the right breast, blue tracksuit bottoms and a light grey woolen hat with a “NY” emblem. On his feet were dark coloured moccasins.

Due to the cold weather and Mr Baptiste not being suitably dressed, officers are keen find him without delay.

Anyone with information is asked to call Enfield Police Missing Persons Unit by dialing 101 or 999.
