A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was shot in Walthamstow.
Police were called shortly after 2300hrs on Saturday, 22 September, to a shooting in Vallentin Road, E17.
The victim – a 19-year-old man – was driven by friends to a north-east London hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2338hrs.
Officers believe they know his identity, but await formal identification and confirmation that next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
There has been no arrest at this early stage. Enquiries are ongoing.
