With temperatures soaring on the island throughout the week, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow warning valid until 1700 local time. Overnight, the minimum temperature was expected to be 26 C inland. Maximum temperatures on Thursday are expected to reach 42C with 33C over Troodos’ highest peaks.
