Relevant bodies involved in organizing the Diaspora Cypriots Conference this coming summer are looking into two alternative choices, taking into account pandemic data and possible travel restrictions which may affect the physical presence of delegates in Cyprus.
In statements to CNA, Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou said that he has submitted an alternative proposal which provides for a teleconference to take place at the end of July during the course of a day.
At the same time, the possibility of having the conference take place as normal a month later than originally planned, at the end of August, is also a possibility looked into, provided that developments in relation to the pandemic allow it.
Final decisions, will be made next week during a teleconference of the Presidential Commissioner with the leadership of organisations of Cypriots abroad.
