† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
Μargarita Matsangos
It is with great sadness that we make known the death of our mother Margarita Matsangos (nee Saphiris), who passed away peacefully on the morning of 6th May 2020. Mum was born in Kornos, Cyprus, in 1938, moving to the UK with all of her siblings in the late fifties, to start a new life in London. She married Yiannis from Rizokarpaso, who passed away in 1994; together they raised three children: Andreas, Sofianos, and Panayiotis. At the centre of mum’s life was her love and care for all her family, friends and neighbours, valuing relationships and good life principles above the material. Mum endured much suffering in her final years, but had endured it with extraordinary acceptance and dignity. Mum will be proud of her legacy – five wonderful grandchildren who will always remember her. In her memory, donations instead of cards and flowers, will be gratefully received by Parkinson’s UK or Dementia UK.
