Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has extended an invitation to the Akel Secretary General Andros Kyprianou to visit Istanbul in January to exchange views on the Cyprus issue, according to a report on CyBC radio.
The invitation to the Kyprianou was extended through Turkish Cypriot negotiator Ozdil Nami.
Speaking to CyBC, Kyprianou described this as a good opportunity, since as he said, he will get first-hand information on Turkey’s stance on key aspects of the Cyprus problem.
Besides Cavusoglu, Kyprianou will also meet with other Turkish government officials, the report said.
