£20,000 reward as family appeals for answers over missing Nazire Koreli

The family of Nazire Koreli have renewed their appeal for information two years after she was last seen in Welling.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that could help the investigation.

Nazire, 56, was last seen near her home in September 2024. Her daughters reported her missing to the Metropolitan Police on 28 February 2025.

Officers have searched her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV and carried out specialist underwater searches near Danson Park. Nazire has not been found.

A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of her murder on 10 March 2025 and later released on bail. The investigation remains ongoing.

In an emotional appeal, Nazire’s daughter described her mother as creative, devoted to her family and passionate about teaching, cooking and concerts.

She spoke of the pain of becoming a mother herself while Nazire remains missing, and of her longing to share everyday moments and seek her advice.

“I need to know where my mum is. I need answers,” she said.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said the investigation remained active and urged anyone who knew Nazire, particularly in the Bexley area, to come forward.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen her between September 2024 and February 2025, or who has information about her whereabouts.

Nazire is described as having a slim build, light brown hair and olive skin.

Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through crimestoppers-uk.org.

The reward is payable only for information passed directly to Crimestoppers. Anyone wishing to claim it must request a reward code during their initial contact. Online callers must also use the charity’s keeping-in-contact facility.

Alternatively, contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025.

Missing People also offers free, confidential support to missing people and their loved ones on 116 000.
